Some changes are afoot
So, it’s finally summertime! School’s out (except for you unlucky summer-schoolers) and it’s time for fun in the sun. …Except for us.
Some changes are afoot around here at dyo, and we’d like to get you informed of them! The first of these changes may be a bit of a doozy for some of you, and I know there’ll be at least one or two of you who’ll be all angry and such. Next month, our channel will be moving to a different IRC network.
We talked about this for a while, and, due to certain events and actions of certain people, we eventually reached the decision to move – it wasn’t simply a decision made with no forethought or no reason. Starting July 2nd, the official home of #dyo will be on the synIRC IRC network. Those of you who decide not to come, we’d just like to let you know we’ll miss you, and hopefully you’ll find better times elsewhere. For those of you who decide to come, we’ll be waiting with open arms. Party!
Another change coming soon is that we might actually get some regular posting on the blog! It’s been sitting here for months without doing much other than collecting dust, but things are happening. Hopefully I’ll have some more news for you on that topic soon.
