February Restructuring
The restructuring changes have been made. Thanks to everyone for their cooperation!
We recently decided to restructure the #dyo access list. On Wednesday, February 6, the access list will be replaced by the following list:
SOP: Katori, Terusama, Erik_Destler
AOP: antgeth, Final, Miria, Satoshi-kun, Zeeky
HOP: Asci, Ceceil, darkgamerGS, FullMasta, Mike, Muhed
In addition, from this point forward, we will stop giving autovoice (VOP) to all users. In addition to the users that were removed to the AOP and HOP lists, the following users will get VOP:
VOP: All users removed from AOP and HOP, Ice_Rabbit, J, MisterCow, square-kun, Xboxster, Entei, PPN, fr3quency, Aeris, Babz, CaptKirby, n2, Refia, nagrom
These changes will go into effect on Wednesday, February 6. For more information on the decision process, look after the break. Read more…
Four Zelda games in 48 hours? Madness!
…Well, yeah, they didn’t make it in 48 hours, but… well, it was still cool watching them! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then you haven’t been paying attention to the intertubes. A few weeks ago, Cameron Banga and a few of his friends decided to get together and play Zelda. Specifically, they decided to play all four 3D Zelda games (Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess). They put up a webcam to document their progress and asked for donations, some of which would go to buying them a pizza and the rest would go to Child’s Play, which if you don’t know, is Penny-Arcade’s charity that goes to help give the gift of gaming to children in hospitals or something like that. They raised over $1,200. For the past two weeks, they’ve gone back and beaten Twilight Princess, and most recently played Paper Mario thanks to the Virtual Console and an, as they called it, very generous donation by yours truly. Apologies
So, I’m assuming some of you may have seen that fake MacWorld keynote thing that’s going around the web that was leaked on Wikipedia. Long story short: I wrote it for a few friends of mine from MacHeist as a little joke. One of them, who I’ve identified, put it on Wikipedia, and it spread from there.
I’m sorry about the whole thing. It was never supposed to get out, and unfortunately it did. (Though, I guess I’ve gotten my fifteen minutes of iFame now, so it doesn’t really matter, I guess.)
So, uh… more news soon! (Other than this stuff!)
Edit: If you’d like to read it as it was originally posted on Wikipedia, you can view it here.
Happy Grue Year!
Happy grue year, dyo. I shot fireworks at shit with my dad and my best friend and drank my ass off and then wallowed in self pity as I checked my text messages every 30 minutes to discover that I had no new ones.
2008’s gonna suck. Let’s go get raped!
Christmas is coming
Just a few days left. Personally, I can’t wait. I’ll get to see so much of my family that I rarely see, and of course, well, presents. But most of it is the family.
As I’ve said elsewhere, I don’t really consider christmas to be a religious holiday anymore. It’s more of a time to spend with family that you don’t get to see too often. It’s basically about the three F’s: family, food, and free stuff.
…I should probably have more to say about this, but I don’t. The majority of my day Tuesday will be spent sitting on a cramped, uncomfortable sofa in the living room next to a television displaying a recording of a section of a tree burning, while I rip paper off of boxes and say, “Thank you for the underwear, grandma.”
What are the rest of you doing on Tuesday?
