February Restructuring
The restructuring changes have been made. Thanks to everyone for their cooperation!
We recently decided to restructure the #dyo access list. On Wednesday, February 6, the access list will be replaced by the following list:
SOP: Katori, Terusama, Erik_Destler
AOP: antgeth, Final, Miria, Satoshi-kun, Zeeky
HOP: Asci, Ceceil, darkgamerGS, FullMasta, Mike, Muhed
In addition, from this point forward, we will stop giving autovoice (VOP) to all users. In addition to the users that were removed to the AOP and HOP lists, the following users will get VOP:
VOP: All users removed from AOP and HOP, Ice_Rabbit, J, MisterCow, square-kun, Xboxster, Entei, PPN, fr3quency, Aeris, Babz, CaptKirby, n2, Refia, nagrom
These changes will go into effect on Wednesday, February 6. For more information on the decision process, look after the break.
In general, users were removed from status because of the fact that they either never come on, or mostly idle and rarely speak in the channel. For specifics, please email me.
antgeth (who recently has gone by the username “zem”) and Final were both promoted to AOP status. Final has shown that he was a good HOP, even though he was not online as much. antgeth, in addition to having some experience from his own channel, is generally active in dyo and is usually paying attention.
Ceceil was promoted to HOP. She was nominated for the promotion by Zeeky. She has prior experience in moderating channels, and has definitely shown that she can be more active if she wants to.
The VOP decisions were not influenced by myself. They were done only by suggestion from the admins and ops. If you believe you should have VOP, and you don’t, please contact me on IRC or by email.
The proceedings to come to these decisions were not purely decided by myself, and they were not made lightly. They were all voted on by the admins (and those selected for op to help decide HOP and VOP; with the exclusion of Final, as he was not online). If you would like full logs of the decision process, please send me an email and I will send them for you to peruse.
