…And this is a website!

Yes, Homestar, it is. The brand new dyo-ecksdee website. Made with the help of two of my web developer friends, Gimp and Mahalis, it represents… something. I like it. It’s… stylin’.

But anyway, dyo’s back, in monochrome, ready to kick some butt. We (and by we, I mean I) hope to get back to our roots a bit – the blogging that originally started ecksdee back in the day, and the dyo Lifecast which I hope to bring back soon, which hopefully will end up combining together with the newest leg of the enterprise, our #dyo IRC channel, to form Captain Planet/Voltron/a cheeseburger (choose one).

dyo-ecksdee has gone through a lot of changes throughout the years. Originally, the dyo Lifecast started up with me begging Mahalis over and over again during the course of a spring break if I could set up a forum on his server. Eventually, he caved, and the Lifecast began. That later shut down because of an unruly admin, and ecksdee was started up later on with me and the three other original members: Elzaban, Yotanua, and Tesseract. Of those three, the only one I continue to have any contact with to this day is Tesseract, but I definitely wouldn’t mind meeting the other two again. (Who knows, I might even give them posting privileges again!)

And now, after many years of changes, unactivity, and even a temporary shutdown, we are back yet again with me and the three admins who have been holding up the chat for the past year or so, in alphabetical order: Erik_Destler, also known as Tyler; Katori, otherwise called Zac; and Terusama, who also goes by Kris. Let’s not forget me, Biiaru, aka Will. (I wanted to do another Captain Planet joke here, but one is probably one too many anyway.)

So, let’s get this party started! More information on how you can sign up to post on the site will be coming in the next few weeks, and I’ll try to make sure that I, as well as the other admins, post regularly. In addition, please let me know somehow if you find any sort of bug on the site, or anything that looks a bit off. I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks for helping us get to where we are today, and, well… let’s have a toast to the future.

To the future!
